The trip to Paris

David stayed up late into the night planning our route to St. Pancreas (King's Cross) Station. It s going to be so easy the line we were at had a direct line there, perfect. No. That route doesn't run on Sunday. We found that out when we got to our Catford Bridge Station. It ended up being a big fiasco getting the 8 of us and all of our luggage to the St. Pancreas station with just 15 minutes to spare before boarding the train (Eurostar). We grabbed a quick breakfast to go and boarded the train. We were so excited to go through the Chunnel! The train traveled super fast and we were only in the Chunnel about 20 minutes before we were in the French countryside. It was beautiful to watch as it whizzed by at 280kph. Before we knew it, we were in Paris!
We haggled with a very large man about the price before we agreed to let him take us to our flat (as David followed along on Google maps to make sure he wasn't kidnapping us). We made it there safely and unloaded our luggage. Then Grandpa, David and I headed out fo find a grocery store to get something for dinner. It seemed as though not much was open on Sunday in France so we had to walk a little further than we thought but we passed by a bakery on our way and stopped for some bread and picked up two meringue's (lemon and raspberry). We found the grocery store and after trying to figure out what the cashier said and the French currency we were on our way back with some pizzas.
After dinner Tessa took a few pictures out on the courtyard before the kids went to bed. After the kids were asleep, David and I set out to explore a little. It was beautiful! We walked down to the Seine River and the sun was glittering on the buildings. It was so fantastic!
