The Banana Split

We had a "blast" on Saturday (sorry, couldn't avoid the pun).  Our friends the Walls invited us to shoot rockets today. We went to HobbyTown and Nathan picked out a rocket kit. We (Nathan) decided to name it "Banana Split" and painted it yellow. Tom brought three rockets and his father brought another three. We had fun launching and retrieving rockets for over an hour. We all thought it was really cool, David is working the numbers to find out how high went and we are planning our next rocket already.

Zoo Atlanta

We took a family trip to the Zoo today, it was a great day to go. The weather was great, in the 70's with cloud cover; there weren't crowds to deal with and all the animals were out.
The boys had a great time leading us around with their maps (we did get lost going to the new reptile exhibit though).
We decided to not even bring the stroller- Tessa was loving the freedom of running around checking out all the animals.

Nathan and AJ thought it was super funny to shake the bamboo and make it rain on us.

Nathan was very excited to get to the "Scaly Slimy Spectacular"- the new reptile exhibit.

Nathans new favorite part of the zoo- all the snakes.
Mommy's least favorite part of the zoo- all the snakes!
Tessa, like her mommy, did not care at all for the snakes and lizards. The turtles were ok though.

Tessa learned to say gorilla, yes, it is adorable.

Bowling

They gave out free Summer bowling passes at Nathans school, we used them today and went bowling for free. The passes allow us to bowl one free game every day this Summer, so there will probably be more bowling pictures throughout the Summer.

End of the (kindergarten) school year.

There was a lot of hustle and bustle leading up to the last day of school. It started off with field day. I was able to volunteer to go and help. I didn't get to see much of Nathan though, I was at the cloths pin drop station. I did sneak outside to see him having a blast out there for a bit.

I let Nate wear my fitbit for field day! Wow!

For Nathan's class field trip we went to Swift Cantrell park. We had a lot of fun playing games, having a scavenger hunt and walking to the playground.
How cute is this?! Nathan with his friends Isabelle and Cate.

 End of year awards party
Last day of school (the teachers were doing a Lion King skit)
We sure loved Mrs. Weaver, Ms. Daily and Kennesaw Elementary.

Nathan came home on pink on the last day of school (so he could earn money from grandma Anderson). We figure that we logged over 250 miles walking to/from school this year. We are excited for Summer vacation to begin!
