Scootin' at the park.

Sleep over!

AJ had his first friend sleep over. Eli came over on Friday evening and the fun started. The boys played and ate and played some more then they watched a movie before crashing into their sleepover tent. The next morning, they woke up and played some more before We took Eli home ( at noon).

A ward hike

This year our ward is doing a Wellness Challenge.  For one of our activities we went for a hike up Kennesaw mountain. We opted not to bring our stroller and ended up carrying Tessa and AJ the majority of the way. Nathan however did a fantastic job hiking up.

Things got out of control...

Eli accidentally left his Elmo at our house after the sleep over. Mrs Carly called Saturday night to see if we had it because Eli can't sleep without him. I told her I would being him home for her. Not workout a little fun first though.

Pack 678 Pine Wood Derby

Nathan's pack held their Pine Wood Derby race this weekend. Our car was started a few weeks ago when Lowe's held their Dremmel Derby Build day. David and Nathan went and got the car cut out and sanded. Nathan decided to make his car a police car. We had a lot of fun putting the rest of the car together.
Nathan's car raced in two heats. The first one, sadly, his car came in last and the second heat his car came in third. We were all disappointed at how the car raced. Nathan was also disappointed he didn't get a trophy, but he did have fun.

I want to be like mommy

Tessa shut herself in my bedroom with David while he was on the phone. I came in a few minutes later and found Tessa with an eyeshadow palette and a makeup brush. Noooooo! She had eye shadow on her cute little nose and the rest of her cute little face. She wanted to my makeup mommy next. Since the pallet was already ruined, I let her.

Olman

We recently received an updated picture of Olman, the little boy we sponsor in Costa Rica. He looks so different from the first picture we received of him. He had grown quite a bit. We receive letters from him occasionally and through them e feel that our sponsorship is really a blessing to him and his family.

Our new car

We found a new car! Rather, John, a friend of David's, found us a car at auction. It was a good deal and We are happy with it. Our old van was a 2006 Honda Touring. This one is a 2011 Honda EX-L.

The sweetest thing!

My sweet Nathan made me a gift at school today. It was raining so they were unable to go outside for recess. While the kids were playing in the classroom, Nathan went over to his teacher to ask for her help. He told her he wanted to make something special for his mom. Here gave her a folded piece of paper and asked her to cut a heart shape. Ms. Wood said Nathan worked on that heart every free moment he had for the rest of the day.
At pick up, I could see him through the window he was very eager to give me the gift. He ran out and gave me the sweetest gift I have ever received! I almost cried right there at the school.
Ms. Wood called me later that day to tell me just how sweet he was about It. I love being a mommy!

Butter, really?

I was helping Anderson cut his pancake and when I went back to help Tessa and found her eating butter right out of the container. She said, "mmmm yummuy". Where would she get this idea? I called grandpa Anderson to ask if he had taught her this while they were here. He said no, but he was proud of her.
