AJ's 1st grade field trip

I was also lucky enough to get to go on the first grade field trip to the National Zoo in DC with Anderson's class (yup, back to back field trips!).  It was a lot hotter than the trip to St Mary's, and the first grader's are more like cats, than the 4th grade kids. It was much harder to keep track of the 4 kids in my group because all of the schools in the county were there also! Yikes! I was successful at keeping track of all 4 kids and we made it back to the bus without any problems! Whew! AJ had a lot of fun doing the zoo scavenger hunt and finding our location on the map.

Nate's 4th grade field trip

My name was drawn in the lottery to accompany the 4th grade field trip to Historic St. Mary's City in Maryland. It was the first settlement in Maryland, so we learned a lot about life back in the 1700's. It was pretty interesting, but the fun part was watching Nathan with all of his friends.

Lucky Daddy!

Daddy is in Hawaii right now on a med school rotation. He is ther doing his surgery block, so he will be there for 15 weeks! It sounds like (and looks like) he is enjoying himself. He is there with our friends Daniel and Kelly Fisher and a few other classmates. The 6 hour time change is making it hard for us to communicate, we have started using Marco Polo the app, and that has helped.

Straight hair, don't care

Tessa's hair isso naturally curly and fine that it tangles easily. We thought that if we straighten it, maybe it wouldn't get as tangled. Our hypothesis was wrong, her straight hair still got pretty tangled. Oh well, it was cute!

Nate's 4th grade program

The 4th grade put on a math program, where the class got to write the "play". Each of the kids had a part in it, it was great!

Girls trip to NYC

I took a trip to NYC with a few girl friends (April Huber, Jami Jensen and Holly Bliss). We took the train up in the evening and stayed the night, the next morning we woke up and went to the Manhattan temple. After that, we spent the day exploring the city and eating yummy NYC food and even getting to see Atkins. In the evening we went to see Waitress off Broadway before taking the train back home.  It was a quick trip, but we packed a lot of fun into it!

Nate is official

Well, Nathan is officially old, according to the DoD. Nathan had to get his Dod ID card. He was so proud to go with David, the smile on his face shows his excitement!
