Christmas, hooray!

We had lots of Christmases this year. On Christmas Eve my Aunt Llew flew in from Iowa to meet me and spend Christmas with my mom and dad. So we had our family's Christmas that day. Then on Christmas morning we went to my grandpa and grandma Rygmyr's house for another Christmas. I got lots of presents there, some books, toys and even a pair of sunglasses. Then on the day after Christmas I got to go to the airport again, this time to pick up my grandpa and grandma Anderson. When we got home we got to have another Christmas for me! I got LOTS of clothes from them and my aunts and cousins. It was great. I think I am really going to like Christmas!

3 Weeks old!

Here I am on my 3 week birthday in a super cute outfit my Aunt Kristin got for me. I really like the way the red velvet on Santa's suit feels. And my favorite is the penguin. Wurd.

My mom thinks this hat is super cute. At first I didn't like it because I thought it would look silly on me, but I ended up liking it a lot. It kept me very warm when we went to the Santa parade.

Here I am just hanging out. I am very alert when I am awake, and still working on smiling.

Two weeks old!

I can hardly believe it! Nathan is two weeks old today. He has changed so much in such a short period of time. David had to go back to work today, we had so much fun over the last two weeks spending time with Nate. I think Nathan is starting to smile now, not just when he is sleeping. It is so much fun to watch his every move. He is so loveable and cuddly, but he is a wiggle worm too.
Here are some pictures of him from the last few days. Enjoy.

I can't believe it!

Today Nathan had his one week old birthday. We had to go to the doctor for his weigh in. Nathan was a trooper and just laid there looking around the whole time and did not fuss. When we left the hospital he had lost 5 ounces, but today he weighed in at 6lbs 13oz. That means that he gained 10 ounces in 5 days. He is still a small baby though. They said that he is in the 14th percent for weight, 43rd percent for length and a whopping 2nd percent for his head. So, yeah, he's still small. He is strong though, he can hold his head up to check things out.
I just can't believe it has been a week already! He is such a good baby. He sleeps so good during the night so his mom and dad can sleep. And he is just so much fun to watch. He makes the cutest little facial expressions ever.
We find ourselves falling even more in love with him every passing day!

More Nathan...

Some of you might get tired seeing all these pictures of Nathan, but we don't care! He is just too cute and we want everyone to know.

Here at last!

World, meet Nathan Lance Rygmyr! The newest addition arrived in our family on November 25, at 7:35 pm. He weighed in at 6 lbs 8oz and was 18 and 1/4 inches long. He is a healthy happy baby, and mom and dad couldn't be happier!

Nathan's room

David and I worked on the mural in Nathan's room on Monday, and I just finished it up today. I am so happy about how it turned out. I will post pictures of the whole room when I get things moved into their proper place. Until then, enjoy these pictures.

To all the non-believers...

It is done. David took last week off to stay home and work on some projects. Well, one project really, the arcade. Who knew that David and I had such great wood working skills (look out Bob Villa!). It took us the whole week and here are some pictures of it along the way.

All we have left to do is get some awesome graphics for the sides. Here is a picture of the finished product and David and his friends playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Just so you know we beat the game in one try.

34 weeks

Yesterday, was our 34 week mark and the doctor said everything is looking good. We scheduled the appointment for them to take out the stitches, it is on Nov. 5th. We are so excited knowing that we could have little Nathan here sooner than later.

One more thing, it has nothing to do with this but I also didn't think it deserved it's own post. I am so happy about the price of gas right now! After having our gas shortage I thought for sure that gas stations would raise the prices once they finally had fuel to make up for the money they lost. But with the price of a barrel being so low we paid $2.62 for gas yesterday! How awesome is that!

Oh yeah, we also voted yesterday, and since I am pregnant we got to bypass the 2 1/2 hour long line and go straight in and cast our ballots! Don't forget to vote- it's your voice!

Nathan's baby shower!

Saturday my friend Pomai threw a baby shower for Nathan and I. It was so much fun and we got lots of booty. Thank you to everyone who came, I love you all. The party was pirate themed, since Nathans bedroom is pirate-y. Here are some pictures from the shower.

The great re-piping is done!

It's done! It's done! The great re-piping is done! David and his dad worked on replacing all of the old (polybutelane) pipes with new cpvp pipes. It took about a week, but we only went without water for two days (I consider that a success). When we were able to turn the water back on we had no leaks. That is right zero leaks! No bad for someone who had absolutely no plumbing experience. David worked so hard and he did such a great job, I am so proud of him!

Why do these things always happen when David is gone?!

Yesterday, I was getting ready to leave, and Boris ran to the basement stairs and got into pounce mode. I was like, "silly cat, what are you doing", and then I walked over and looked. There was something looking up at both of us. Boris ran down the stairs and chased it into the corner. I came down with the camera, so I could have proof that these things only happen to me. There was a live bird in the basement. I don't know how long it had been there because I had not gone downstairs since David left on Tuesday. Also, I never saw Boris bring it in. He always likes to show off his "presents". Anyway, I had to chase this bird out of the house with a broom. Why can't these things ever happen when David is home? Well, I have a theory. I think David is sabotaging me. I think he sets these things up, just so he can hear the panicked phone call I will give him. Why else would these types of things only happen when he is gone?
