Atlanta temple open house

Last night we had the opportunity to go to the Atlanta temple's open house. It was so neat to be able to take Nathan inside. He kept saying "it's so beautiful", and it is. It is so different now, they moved all the rooms around. The grounds outside are different too, there are lots of places to take pictures, and lots of flower beds. It looks so good. We are excited for the cultural celebration on the 30th and the dedication on May 01 that President Monson will be here for. And then of course we will be able to go to the temple again.

Zoo with cousins

Aunt Bonnie, Jake, Kyler and Zoey came over yesterday. They are on Spring Break this week, and wanted to go to Zoo Atlanta with us. It was a really fun day. Most of the animals were out and about.
This is the baby giraffe that was born last year, Zuri. I got a new camera lens for Christmas, and this was really my fist opportunity to use it. I love it!
Zoey on the giraffe statue.
This is the best picture of all the kids together. They weren't all wanting to cooperate, Nathan and Kyler.
The rhino (also with my new lens).
Monkey
Do you see the baby gorilla on it's mommy's back. It was so cute. Bonnie got a great picture of the baby with it's face on the glass.

Zebra
Nathan, Kyler and Zoey thought it was so much fun to jump on this metal hatch. It was so loud, and they loved it.
The red panda
The tiger!
Elephant
Playing on the gorilla statues. We had a really fun day. All the kids but Kyler fell asleep on the way back home, I think they had a great time.

Kennesaw Easter egg hunt

Yesterday we went to the City of Kennesaw's annual Easter egg hunt. It was great. This year they did it differently, and held it at the baseball fields. That was such a great idea. They had a field for each age group, so the older kids didn't run into the little kids area and steal all the candy.
Nathan was a little nervous when it first started, so daddy gave him his hat, and that made him feel better about it.

Nathan got so excited and every time he picked up and an egg, he would announce to us the color of it then put it in his basket.
He got to see the giraffe from his doctors office, and the Easter bunny.
His favorite find- a bug in a box. He thinks it is pretty cool.

And the winner is....

A BOY!

Out of the 18 votes that were cast yesterday, 7 people voted girl, and 11 people voted for a boy!
If it matters, David and I both thought it was going to be a girl, but we thought that with Nathan too so our track record isn't good.
We do not have a boy name picked out as of now, we don't seem to see eye to eye on any yet.
Thanks for your votes!

cast your votes

We had a doctors appointment today, and the super nice ultra sound tech showed us the gender of our new baby. Nathan guessed it right, can you?
