Sister snuggles

It is very rare, but occasionally I am able to get the boys to hold and snuggle with Tessa. Here are some of the more recent pictures of it.

Nathan's birthday

Nathan's birthday lasted about two weeks this year, it just kept going and going. Nate loved every bit of it! David told Nathan months ago that when he turned five he could watch Star Wars. Nathan had been eagerly awaiting it. When the day finally arrived he was so excited. We waited until it was time for AJ to take his nap, then it was finally time! (This was mommy's first time watching it too). The first half of the movie Nathan talked and talked about everything that was happening. It was very cute, the second half of the movie was kind of boring I guess because Nathan brought some of his Legos down and played with them while the movie was on. After the movie, Nathan said he liked it but didn't want to watch it again right away.

For his birthday dinner we went to Steak and Shake. Nathan got a free milkshake, and that was all he wanted to eat. But he ate his "yummy birthday dinner" and loved it (because he got a side of bacon).
We had a really fun day with him.

Nathan, you are such a joy to be around. You are growing up so big and so fast (please slow down). You have such a great imagination and I love to hear you talk and play. I love to see you being a good, sweet big brother to Anderson and sharing toys with him and giving Tessa sweet hugs and kisses. You are so smart and you love school. You have so many friends there and such great teachers. We love to see you learning and growing each day. Mommy and dad-o love you so much Nathan!

Nathan's LEGO party

On Saturday we had Nathan's birthday. We invited the kids from his class (and his friend from church, Thatcher Bishop). We had 16 kids RSVP (and with siblings, 24 showed up- yikes!) we played LEGO Put the Shark in the Water while we waited for the pizza to arrive. After everyone was finished eating, all the kids got to make their own LEGO race cars and race them down the awesome ramp that David made! After all the racing, the kids got to decorate their own LEGO head t-shirt. Bonnie and I made 20 LEGO head shirts with freezer paper and fabric paint. They all turned out super cute, and the kids had fun decorating them.  We then had cupcakes and opened presents. It was such a great party and the most important thing, is that Nathan had a LOT of fun!

Family trip to Clemson

Thursday after we picked Nathan up from school our family drove up to Clemson S.C. David and I bought tickets to go to the football game that night. A few weeks ago we called the bishops wife of the Clemson ward to see if she could find a babysitter for the three kiddos. She found two sister who were willing to watch them at their house. David and I dropped our kids off, changed into warmer clothes and headed to the game. The game started at 7:30 p.m. and the temperature was 44* and dropping-by the second quarter it was 38*. Clemson was playing a great game! They beat Georgia Tech 55-3. We stayed until the end of half time before we froze and decided to go pick up our kids.

On Friday, David wanted to meet up with some of his teachers. They couldn't meet until 1, so we toured around the campus for a bit. We took the boys to go see the football stadium, when we walked up to it, one of the gates were open so we went in. Nobody was around, so we went down to the field and ran around on it for a little while. We were the only five people on the field, much different from the night before when there were over 75,000 people in the stands! After that David met with a couple of his teachers before we headed back home. It was a very fun trip and we look froward to going back next May for David's graduation! (Hooray, only one semester left!)

Tessa is 4 months old

Here are the stats of Tessa's four month well check:

Height- 25 inches (48%)
Weight- 15.3 lbs (55%)
Head- 15 3/4 inches (16%)
(Note: Tessa was actually 4 1/2 months old at the appointment

Here is a comparison with her brothers at the same age:
Anderson:
Height- 26 inches (86%)
Weight- 16.3 lbs (67%)
Head- 16 inches (21%)

Nathan:
Height- 24 inches (18%)
Weight- 14.12 lbs (49%)
Head- 15 3/4 inches (16%)

She seems to be pretty average for our family! However, it seems like the time is going by much quicker with her, maybe because her brothers are keeping me so busy!
