A Nathan update

Since Nathan got his first tooth on July 4th, I have been trying and trying to get a picture of it. Well now he has two teeth and I still have not been able to get a picture of it. He will be doing things where I see them all the time, until I get the camera out, then he is so tight lipped about it. I am determined to get pictures of the teeth before they come in all the way. Right now I like to say that one of them is 1/2 the way in and the other is 1/4, so I have some time to still get them.
As far as Nathans crawling goes, he is moving forward. He did his first actual crawl on July 24th, he went about a foot. It was really exciting and both David and I got to see it. Along with his crawl he does this little hop thing-kind of like a bucking bronco. It is really cute to watch him, in fact right now he is trying to get his snack, (cherry flavored puffs- he loves them). I have said that Nate's mantra is "why crawl when I can barrel roll". He rolls and rolls all over our living room floor. I think that Nathan might be one of those kids that crawls a little and walks soon, we will have to wait and see.
Here are some pictures of my attempt at tooth shots and his crawling. Enjoy!

I love the pool!

Nathan loves going to the pool. I guess he finds it very relaxing because he falls asleep in his floatie every time. This time we put his friend Jenna Jenkins in the floatie with him, and she fell asleep too. Before we got in the pool I gave Nathan a mohawk with the sunscreen, his hair is just the right length for it. It makes him look really tough, doesn't it?

The best game ever!

Last night we went to the Braves baseball game. It was the best game ever! Before the game started the Braves retired Greg Maddux's jersey number (31). Earlier in the day he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. It was really cool to watch since he is on my mom's list of her "top 5 most awesome people" list (and my mom wanted to marry him when she was growing up, she even had his poster on her bedroom wall). We got to the game to late to get Dale Murphy's autograph (he is also on her list). Too bad too because my mom keeps telling me that he will be one of my hero's when I grow up.
It was a great game. The Braves shut out the Mets 11-0. The first game I have gone to that the Braves won! After the game they had lots of fireworks. They were fun to watch, but they were really loud.
I fell right to sleep on the way home. It was a late night for me, but I was having so much fun!

{N.Joy} Photography

While we were in Idaho, Nathan and I went to Utah for a few days. It was a lot of fun, we got to stay with my sister Bonnie who is in Utah for an internship this summer. While there we went and saw my friend Natalie and her family. Natalie is a super talented photographer, and she took some pictures of Nate for me. Here are some of them. If you need someone to take pictures for you, N. Joy Photography is the only way to go!

Natalie, you are awesome! I love the pictures of Nathan! They are all adorable!

Tooth Fairy has a new customer.

Yesterday on July 4th, Nathan got his first tooth! I noticed it when he was sucking on my finger, and he bit me with it. He doesn't want people to see it, he hides it well. As soon as I can get a good picture of it I will post it. Too bad his daddy isn't here to see it!
We love you David and we will be home soon!
Oh, and Nathan is getting ready to crawl. He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth!

Look out Tiger Woods!

Nathan's cousin Zoey got a set of golf clubs for her 2nd birthday. All the kids enjoyed playing with them (until they broke) even Nate. I think he is a natural. He can't wait until he gets big enough to go golfing with his grandpa Lance.
