"Flags in"

Nathan's scout pack participated with several other packs from the Silver Comet district to put the flags in at the Marietta National Military Cemetery in preparation of Memorial day.  It was a good service project to participate in. The scouts placed flags in front of each gravestone and then stood and saluted. The work went by really quickly, the whole cemetery was decorated in 30 minutes. I am so happy to be a part of this pack and the wonderful things they do. This was such a great way to teach our children about sacrifices and what blessings those sacrifices have given us.

My Mimmie Dress!

While each of the kids loves the presents David broughthome for them, Tessa might just love hers the most! She wants to do everything in her Mimmie dress; eat, sleep, play at the YMCA and go shopping. She wears it all day, everyday! Daddy did a great job picking out her gift!

Nathans piano recital

Nathan has been working hard the last few months on his song for his piano recital. All of his hard work paid off at his recital. He did a fantastic job! I was so proud of him!
At the end when everyone clapped for him, he said, "Yay me. Yay me." He is such a ham!
I was worried about him sitting on the stand for the rest of the performances.
Luckily I had given him the Friend magazine and he day up there reading it the rest of the time. Except when the boy in the orange shirt played the Star Wars theme song.
I am so proud of my sweet Nathan. Good job son, yay you!

Ms. Wood's Hollywood awards

Nathan's class had a hollywood paper plate awards day. Ms. Wood decorated the classroom just like an awards show complete with a red carpet and stage. Each of the kids received an award. Nathan received the "most cheerful" award. All of the kids had such a fun day being recognized for characteristics that make them so special.
After the awards we watched the class slideshow. It was so fun to see how much they have all changed and grown over the last year.
