We had a great Christmas this year. It started on Christmas Eve morning, we had our family Christmas. Nathan was so excited to FINALLY open the presents. First we opened our stockings. Nathans had books, a Santa pez, and some Toy Story stuff. David and I didn't really have anything in ours but some candy.
Nathan was excited about the new books, he loves to read- like his dad.
I made him open his clothes first, not very exciting.
Then he got to open his toys. He got Buddy, Don and Velma the dinosaurs from one of his favorite shows "Dinosaur Train" (it combines two of his three favorite things, he third being baseball).
After opening them, he didn't care about opening anymore presents, so David and I helped him with the rest. He also got a dinosaur flashlight (Rex-from Toy Story)and some movies (Monsters Inc., Toy Story 1 and Mary Poppins).
After that excitement Nathan was tired. Playing with new toys will do that to a kid. After our Family Christmas we drove over to grandpa and grandma Rygmyrs house. We went with them to their Christmas Eve service and then home for pizza. After dinner we exchanged presents for the names we drew. Caitlin had my name and she hooked me up! I got some new makeup, a sweater and an awesome new blender ( we have gone 5 years without one, so I asked for one this year). Sherry had David and he got Golf lessons, he is so excited about them!
In the morning we opened our stockings and gifts from Santa. We always get scratch off tickets in our stocking- a couple of us won- a free ticket, me included.
Pa got a rifle from Lance for Christmas, and in the morning Santa brought him a scope for it. He was really happy about it. He said it was "the gun he never got as a child".
David putting the scope on for Pa.
Santa brought Nathan a tricycle. He wanted to ride it even before Daddy had it all put together. He can't quite peddle, but he is slowly getting the hang of it. Maybe by summer he will have it down and can ride around the cul de sac.
It Snowed! It really was a white Christmas. David looked it up, and it hasn't snowed on Christmas day in Georgia since 1881, 130 years ago! Nathan loved the snow. He and grandpa tried to catch snowflakes on their tongues.
Nathan didn't care how cold it was outside, he just wanted to play.
Nathan proved it is never to cold to play golf, and baseball.
It really was a great Christmas. The excitement in Nathans eyes every morning as I would bring him downstairs and he would see the Christmas tree all light up. Every morning he would tell the Christmas tree "Hi Christmas tree", and wave hello to it. We taught him to say "Ho ho ho. Merry Christmas". Every time he saw lights on someones house he would say "Hi Christmas". And he asked us at least 100 times to "sing Christmas", which meant for us to sing "We Wish you a Merry Christmas" and he also wanted us to sing "Frosty". David and I don't remember the way the song goes, but we know the words, so each time we sang it, it was a different version.
We took our tree down the other day while Nathan was napping, so he wouldn't get to sad. He came down and asked "where go Christmas tree?"
I can't wait for next Christmas!

You need to teach him Ho Ho Ho Merry Mauka. Sounds like it was lots of fun..Christmas through a small child is always fun to watch.
We have lots of snow Nate can come play in with me.
Love you,
Aunt Heather
Looks like fun! Who got the Chanel purse? Is it David's golf bag?
