Oh Nathan, we love you so much!

North Cobb H.S. Little Warriors   October 2012
We got Nathans very first school picture back the other day. I love it! It is so cute.

Today was Nathans first Primary program. Even though I had to sit on the stand with him, he did a pretty good job. They sang lots of songs, part way through  the program Nathan took it upon himself to start announcing each of the songs. It was very cute, the music would start, and Nathan would loudly announce what song it was.  They got to sing two of Nate's favorite songs which are: When I am Baptized and Scripture Power. Nathans part in the program was supposed to be the very last part, the caboose, but Nate line jumped a little because he was so excited. His part was "Joseph Smith saw Jesus Christ". He said it very loud and clear.
We had a lot of people come up to us after the program was over and tell us how cute they thought Nathan was.

Halloween

The dynamic duo were out last night saving the neighborhood from evil doers! Batman (Nathan always says "the black Batman") and Robin went trick or treating to a few houses last night. Not many people in our subdivision participate in Halloween. However our next door neighbor texted me to make sure they didn't miss us. We went over to their house and they made cute little baskets for Nathan and AJ.
After a couple of houses we went back home, to pass out candy to any trick or treaters that came. We had a record number this year-9. (Our neighbor had 11).
Nathan's class got to go trick or treating to some of the classes at the high school, he came home with a full bucket of candy plus some!
The candy Nate got from school.

Saturday we had our ward trunk or treat. Anderson fell asleep on the way there, and when we woke him up he just stood in the same place for at least ten minutes, very confused.
The only picture I could get of Nathan and AJ together. Nathan spent the whole night playing and running around with all his friends.

We carved our pumpkins, and Nathan gave us all jobs to do. Daddy was the cutter, mommy was the scooper and Nathan was the helper (he should have been the supervisor since he didn't do anything).

One happy pumpkin and one spooky pumpkin
Nathan showing off the jacket Aunt Llew sent him. He loves that it glows in the dark!
Costume check! Good, they both fit, however Nathan's is a little big and AJ's is a little small-but they will work.
 Anderson as Robin- Batman's sidekick
 The black Batman!
 Super strong!
I think this is a great Dark Knight (Christian Bale) face.
 The dynamic duo!

 In the Batmobile

We had a Halloween party for some of our friends. The house was decorated for a Monster Mash!
We made spooky crafts.

Ate spooky food... and took fun pictures.

Our Halloween festivities lasted over a week, but we had a lot of fun! We listened to Halloween songs in the car everyday for over a month- Nathan will sing Ghostbusters, Batman, Spiderman, Monster Mash and Godzilla all the time now. It is pretty cute!

Mummy

Nathan was watching one of his shows (Bubble Guppies), it was the Halloween episode and one of the characters was dressed up as a mummy. Nathan asked what a mummy was, so we decided to show him. We dressed him up and told him that mummy's don't talk.

That is one scary looking mummy!

Silly eyes

We were playing with googly eyes yesterday, and these are some of the silly faces we made.

Uncle Shucks Corn Maze

Bonnie's kids were over at our house this weekend and since Saturday was Jakes 13th birthday we decided to do something fun. We headed off to Uncle Shucks Corn Maze in Dawsonville. They had 3 different sections of the maze and 12 checkpoints to find. It proved to be quite difficult. We "lost" Jake right off the bat (he found some other boys to go off with). David took Kyler and I had Zoey, Nate and AJ. Needless to say, David and Kyler found more checkpoints than my group did. We had a lot of fun getting very lost though.

AJ fell asleep in the stroller while we were wandering around aimlessly.
While David, Jacob and Kyler went to solve the mystery of who killed the farmer (it was the chicken with the pitchfork in the pumpkin patch) my group headed to the little kids play area. They all had a lot of fun climbing all over the tires, rolling in the hay and doing the mini maze.

He is such a happy boy!

They had a corn cannon there too, so the kids got a chance to try to hit a car with cobs of corn.

They didn't want to leave without looking at the pumpkins, so we did that too.
I even got a picture of Jake kind of smiling (even though he wouldn't admit that he had fun).

We had a lot of fun with Jake, Kyler and Zoey and we are glad that they could come spend the weekend with us.
