Hawey game

A few weekends ago grandpa and grandma Rygmyr took us to hockey game. We went and saw the Gwinnett Gladiators play the Trenton Devils. The gladiators won 3-0, it was a great game and Nathan really enjoyed his first hockey game.

The high flying Circus!

Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey presents- Barnum's Fundudrum!
We took Nathan to see the Circus today! It was spectacular. There were elephants (6), tigers (10), motorcycles in a steel ball (7), high flying trapeze and lots of other fun stuff to watch. Nathan really enjoyed it until intermission when he started to get tired. Shortly after the second act began, Nathan fell asleep for the rest of the show. He was awake for all the important parts though. He woke up when it was over so happy and excited about seeing the circus. It was a really fun day!

Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!
Today was such a beautiful day, we went outside and played in our yard. Nathan got a shark bubble blower that he thinks is super awesome, he played with for quite a while before moving on to climb the tree and find rocks in the yard. What a great day it has been so far.

Nathan's castle

David and Nathan made a castle a couple of weekends ago. The other day Nathan decided he wanted to decorate his castle some, so we got out the paints and Nate did his thing. He did a good job, and was relatively clean at the end of it (he wouldn't put the paint shirt I gave him on, so he had to paint naked).

Maybe we will add more paint another day.

Trip to Florida

We went down to Punta Gorda, Florida last weekend for Grandpa Gene's memorial service. We were able to spend lots of time with family. Nathan and mommy got to meet Aunt Carolyn (Gran's daughter) and Uncle Kevin (Aunt Tacy's husband). The weather was in the 70's the whole time- which is nice because when we left Georgia there was still snow on the ground.

Nathan playing with the Christmas present Aunt Tacy and Uncle Kevin gave him. It was a Dinosaur Train (from the PBS show). Nathan loved it. He played with it all weekend, and even slept with it in his bed.
We had a great time and we were glad that we were able to see Gran again so soon.

Another snow day

On Monday, our new Governor was inaugurated. His first official order of business was to declare all government offices closed on Tuesday, so David had another day off. Since the roads were still icy we didn't go anywhere. We watched movies, played trains, went for a walk, shoveled and of course we played in the snow. We built a "daddy snowman" and a "baby snowman". We attempted to sled down our neighbors driveway on storage bin lids.
I am not sure why Nathan is crying here. He had a lot of fun outside.
Clapping for the sledding.
Nathan was the first to go down (not the best idea, but it turned out ok). He had a lot of fun sledding, but he only went once. He said weehaw! while he was going, it was funny.

Aunt Caitlin was second. It didn't work for adults as well as it did for Nathan, but we made it work.

After sledding, we had a little snowball fight and then built the snowmen. It was a really fun snow day, but hopefully we will be able to get out of the house today. We haven't left since we got home from church on Sunday.

6 inches! To some of you, that may not be a whole lot, but for us here in Georgia, it is a whole lot!
Nathan loves it! Within a half hour we went out 3 different times. He kept saying "it's Christmas Day". I think that since last time it snowed it was on Christmas, unfortunately there are no presents to open today.

The snow pants we got him for last year still fit him, and he is wearing his rain boots as snow boots.

Caitlin threw a snowball at me, so I threw one back. I just have better aim. Let that be a lesson to you- don't get in a snowball fight with an experienced snow ball fighter.
This is the ice that is on all our cars. I don't think we are going to go out today, except maybe to build a snowman!
