With my big brothers!

On Wednesday, daddy brought my brothers back to visit. They got to hold me for the very first time.

Sweet kisses from Nathan

In love

Anderson was VERY protective of me, it surprised mom and dad a lot. He did not want anybody else to touch me or take me away from him.

I love this picture

A very happy mommy!

Meeting my family

After I was born, grandma, aunt Kristen and aunt Caitlin brought my brothers to the hospital to meet me. They loved me the first time they saw me. (So did everyone else!)

On Tuesday my great grandparents Ma and Pa Roberts drove from Alabama to come meet me.

I was wide awake for most of their visit, happy to meet some of my family.

Welcome baby Tessa

On Monday morning, I woke up and I was having some contractions. They were 8-10 minutes apart, nothing to exciting. I had a doctor's appointment at nine and the doctor said that maybe in a week we would have the baby. After my appointment, I came home, got Nathan and we went to Target to buy David a Father's Day present. While we were there, my contractions became harder and two minutes apart. They continued for two hours, so we called the doctor and they told  us to go to labor and delivery triage.
When we got there they hooked me up and said they would monitor me for twenty minutes, well, an hour later they decided that the contractions weren't going away. They thought about sending us home with some pain medication, then they decided that they would have me (and David) walk the halls for an hour. It was so lame! When we were finished walking, they checked and I was rapidly dilating but Tessa wasn't head down anymore. She turned feet down when we were walking, so they had to do an emergency c-section.
Tessa was born three weeks early on June 10th at 6:51 p.m. She weighed 6lbs 8oz. (the same as Nathan) and was 19 inches long. She is a happy, healthy baby. We are happy happy happy she is a part of our family.

We found out from grandpa Rygmyr that Tessa means "fourth child" in Greek. We didn't know that when we picked her name out but it is a very fitting name for her!

Birdhouses

We got some bird houses few months ago and this morning we decided to build them and put them out in the tree. We have a bird feeder out on the deck, and we have had lots of cardinals and other little finch like birds eating out of it, so we are hoping that some of those birds are in the market for new real estate.

Sorry, the last two pictures are out of order.

Water fun

It was supposed to rain today, so we decided not to go to the pool. But it turned out to be so nice and hot that we played out on the deck instead. We had a lot of fun until both boys decided to start getting me wet too. I was not prepared for that. But it was still a lot of fun anyway. Nathan really liked jumping on the trampoline with the water on it, so we brought the hose up and both boys played in there for quite a while.

The most fun was splashing me through the window though. Nathan started out by throwing the water, then he decided it was more fun to spit the water at the window. Anderson couldn't spit the water very well, so he stuck with throwing it.

I love AJ's hair in this last picture, it is caused by the sunscreen still left in his hair. I might have to do that more often, it reminds me of when he was a baby with his unruly fuzzy hair (back when it was red). This is a silly picture of Nate too, I think the camera was at a weird angle, it makes his nose look huge.
