Idaho adventure (part 3)

Playing "polar bears and penguins" at the Rigby City Rock Park

See my silly tooth on top

We went out to Doug and Lori Farnsworth's house to "help" them move sheep. The boys loved it! They have never seen that many sheep in one place before. They just stood there amazed.

Nathan was mortified to ride the sheep

We took a ride up the Tram at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. It really made me miss snowboarding those runs.

 On top of the world!

playing in the fountains after our Tram ride.

Two thumbs way up for Yellowstone!

This is a more accurate picture.

Old Faithful

The one animal we saw in the Park (on our way back to Jackson).

This is where our Yellowstone trip turned into an adventure! We got to the Ranger Station between Yellowstone and Grand Teton N.P. and they shut down the road! What! The Ranger told us we would be waiting for a while, a tour bus had turned over and all the roads were closed. We sat there for 2 hours and watched Park emergency vehicles go by. After waiting there, they let us decide if we wanted to go to Flagg Ranch or turn around and go back through the park. We chose Flagg Ranch. When we got there we went to the small convenience store and stocked up on some food for our wait. They had a (working) pay phone there, so I called Heather and told her we were alright and that we weren't going to back in time for dinner. We waited at Flagg Ranch for another 3 1/2 hours before the accident was cleared and the roads were re-opened. We made it back into Jackson at 10:30 p.m. Our flight was at 07:00 the next morning. The kids all dealt well with the delay, the boys played with the phone booth for a while, before moving on to the gas station windshield cleaner.
It made for quite a long day!
