On Sunday, Nathans friend Grace Settle (in his Sunbeam class) gave him this note. Grace had her mom, Tara, write it for her, exactly as she said it. Tara kept trying to figure out what she meant, but she didn't get any information. I do know that Nathan did in fact punch Grace in the stomach, but that was several months ago.
I just thought it was super cute!

Baseball practice!
Nathan had his first T-ball practice last night! He was so excited about it all day. We kept talking about how important it is to listen to the coach. He did pretty good. He got distracted near the end of practice. They did a warm up run.
Fielding drills
Hitting off the tee
Showing how the coach taught him to keep his elbow up.
Soft toss
Base running
Nathan had a great time. He is so excited about playing baseball. They did a team cheer, and after Nate came running up to me yelling "I'm a Hot Rod".

Nathan, you make me laugh.
Here are a few Nathan quotes that have made us laugh over the past few weeks:
N- "What are we having for dinner?"
M- "We are eating steaks"
N- "SNAKES"!
N- (playing with his toys) "Are you mad at me ninjas?
"no, we are just mad because you keep touching our pepperoni's".
N- (pushing AJ in the stroller) "I'm a good babysitter".
N- (telling jokes) "that's silly, not funny".
N- (very sadly) "mommy, you got married without me".
N- (Sitting on David's lap with some Legos) "It's like an astroid"
D- "what's an astroid"?
N- (matter-of-factly) "Rock's in space".
N- (Playing Portal with David) "This is a big boy game. It's not for girls"!
N- (at his 3 year birthday) "Octopus Prime"
M- "It's Optimus Prime"
M- (giving in) "Ok, Octopus Prime"
N- "Yeah Mommy. You said it right. Good job."
N- "we're making a Mommy sandwich. Daddy, you can be the turkey and cheese, and I can be the Mayonnaise".
D-"Nate, you're fast like the Flash".
N- "Yeah, I'm the Flasher".
N- "But I want somebody to tell me it's okay to lick the knife"
N- "I'm going to get them with my awesome power!"
M- "what awesome power, Nate?"
N- "The awesome power of two guns!"
N-Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
M-What are you thinking?
N-We should get a pet!
N- "Daddy you're the messiest popcorn eater in the whole town"!
D-What does your brain do?
N-It tells you what number you like.
M- "what awesome power, Nate?"

That boy makes us laugh everyday!

Family day
David and I started today out bright and early. We got up at 06:30 to go run the Wounded Warrior run in downtown Kennesaw (unfortunately the race started 45 minutes late, grrrr).
I finished the race 953rd with a time of 37:29 and David (slow-y pants) finished 954th with a time of 37:29. Good job to us!
I didn't know it, but my friend Jannifer Webb was running it to and we saw her as soon as we got there! It was a lot of fun to see her and catch up (while waiting for the run to start, because when it started she smoked me). Jen ran in 31:24 and placed 586th!
After the race we headed to Acworth beach for the 4th CST family fun day! They had a Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator there (who was awesome, he looked a lot like him and sounded like him). All the kids had a great time learning to sword fight and then going on a treasure hunt.

There was a (free) raffle for a bunch of stuff. They drew out Nathan's name and he got the bike! He was super excited. I said what do you tell them (meaning "thank you") and Nate yells "I'm going to ride that bike"! It was really funny. He couldn't wait to ride it!Posted by David & Audrey at 11:30 PM 2 comments
