Happy valentines day!

We want to wish all our family and friends a happy Valentines day. We love you all so much!
Aunt Kristen got her valentine a bit late (the mail takes a lot longer to get to Korea), but here is her picture!
Aunt Caitlin
Aunt Heather & Cousin Braedon (he is so tall!)
Grandpa & Grandma Rygmyr
Cousin Zoey, Jake and Kyler

Uncle Russ & Aunt Bonnie
Aunt Llew
Grandma & Grandpa Anderson said "Yes!".
(Aunt Kristen, your Valentine is going to be late, sorry. I didn't plan ahead very well.)

Also, today is Anderson's 5 month birthday. He is doing great, despite a little cold. He is still as happy as ever, we love him so much.

3 steps

Yesterday Nathan had a piece of paper that had numbers 1-3 on it.  He told me "Step one, make cookies.  Step two, make popcorn.  Step three, daddy comes home."
It was pretty cute, but sad too.
Yesterday we made cookies.  This morning when Nate woke up he said "Step two, we have to make popcorn"

Part 2 of 12

David and I had our February date on Wednesday. Unfortuanately we had to improvise. We were supposed to go to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner then to a bookstore to browse, but David had training exercises all week, and left this morning for a month in Florida. So instead, we went and got Steak & Shake for dinner (brought it home to eat with the kids) and we watched a movie from Netflix (RED). It wasn't what we had planned, but it worked. Hopefully we will be able to make up our Cheesecake Factory dinner some other time.

Since we didn't have any pictures from our date, here is one from our wedding.

Monkey Joe's

We have gone to Monkey Joe's a few time in the last couple of weeks. Nathan likes it a lot better this year, than he did last year. He will actually go in and jump and play. He still won't go down the steep slides, but there is one slide he likes, the big curving slide.

Brothers

Here are a few pictures of the boys from the last few days. Anderson continues to be such a happy baby (as long as someone is paying attention to him). He just smiles and laughs if you look at him. (FYI- some of the pictures are out of order)

Nathan wanted to hold AJ the other day, so he sat on the couch and held him. He lost interest in it pretty quickly, but Anderson was just wedged in there nicely so he wouldn't fall off. Anderson is very observant, he likes to watch everything, especially what people are putting into their mouths- like Nathans juice cup.

AJ has started eating "solids". He is eating oatmeal cereal first and seems to be liking it. So far he is not too messy about it (I think he doesn't want to waste any). He kept grabbing my pinky finger and pulling the spoon to his mouth.
Daddy gave Nathan a haircut last night. Usually Nathan freaks out about it before it even starts and continues to freak out throughout the haircut. This time he did really well. Daddy was the "cutter" and mommy was the "wiper". If any hair fell on his legs or feet I had to wipe it off immediately, Nathan does not like to get dirty.

After the haircut the boys had baths. Anderson loves baths so much more that Nathan does (which makes me wonder if he will like swimming more). As much as Nate doesn't like to get dirty, he doesn't like to get clean either.

Yesterday Great Grandpa and Grandma (Ma & Pa) came over. Ma brought Nathan a train. Nathan loves it, he has been playing with it since they left. He even had to take the train (all the train cars) with us to go to daddy's work. It was really cute.

AJ loves to suck on his fingers, and he is not quiet about it. Look at those big blue eyes!

Sorry this video has taken me so long to upload, videos take longer to upload. Anyway, here is a video of Nathan driving his Jeep he got for Christmas. He is not very good at driving it yet, but he is getting better. It has two speeds (2.5 mph & 5 mph) the 5 mph is locked right now, we want Nate to learn how to drive it before we unlock it (good thing too, one of our friends kids fell out of it and got road rash on his back).
The other video I was trying to upload never did, so I will have David compress it, and try again.

part 1 of 12

I saw this on a blog (I don't know who's blog it was, I just found it and can't find it again to put a link in, sorry), so I decided we would do it. The wife gave this as a gift to her husband for Christmas. A gift of dates, 12 of them. There is an envelope for each month with a predetermined, prepaid date in it (gift cards or money etc.). We did it a little different, and collaborated together to come up with the date ideas.
For our first date, we were supposed to go ice skating at Centennial Olympic park and then to dinner at the Vortex. The weather made us change our plans slightly. Instead of ice skating, we went indoor mini golfing at Monster Mini Golf. It was fun (more for me than for David).
After golfing we did a favor for a friend, and took pictures of a surprise scavenger hunt at the mall for her sister-in-law, then we went downtown for dinner. We ate at the Vortex in Midtown. It was delicious. I got the Cardiac Arrest, aptly named.
It was a great night. Thank you grandma & grandpa Rygmyr for watching the boys. I can't wait until our date next month.

AJ is 4 months old already

Anderson turned 4 months old on Saturday. We took him to the doctor for his well check, here are his stats: height 26 inches (86%), weight 16 lbs 3 oz (67%) and head 16 inches (21%). They said everything looked great.
Here are a few pictures of AJ from the last couple of days.

Nathan used to make this same face, a big smile with his bottom lip tucked under. It is interesting to see the ways they are similar and different. Also like his big brother, Anderson likes to jump in his jumper too.

For the most part, Nathan is a good big brother. The other day AJ was sitting on the couch by Nathan and he flopped to the side. Nathan said "mom a little bit of help here, we have a problem". It was sweet that he wanted to help his brother. The best picture last. Look at that sweet, loving smile. It is so adorable, just like Anderson!
