Ragnar Tennessee Relay Run

I was invited to join some friends inn a Ragnar Relay (200 ish miles in 2 days). It started in Chattanooga, TN and ran to Nashville. Each runner had three legs to run, I had 3, 4 and 7 miles legs. We had a lot of fun and a little sleep but the reticence was worth it.
Also on Saturday while I was running the race, David was on San Antonio taking the MCAT. I was being physically exhausted while David was being mentally exhausted.

Anderson's last day as a Little Warrior

Anderson had his last day today at North Cobb. He is no longer a Little Warrior, he is officially in Pre-K! He has grown and learned so much this last year! He can write his name and "mom". He is also a good artist, good with shapes and numbers. We still need to work on our ABC's this Summer though. We are so proud of you Anderson James! You are a light and joy in our lives.

Mother's day

This year, David was out of town (still, but he did send me flowers) for mother's day. Aunt Bonnie invited us to come spend the day with her family. We went over Saturday morning and came home Sunday afternoon. We had a lot of fun playing with cousins (and sisters). Aunt Bonnie made cookies and Zoey decorated them, she made a special One for Bonnie and I. They also made me feel special by giving me a card and a cute bracelet. Thank you Fields family for a great Mother's day.

A few projects while David is away

I decided to get a few projects done while David has been out of town. First, I took off all the brass door knobs and replaced them with brushed nickel- 16 doors. Not a major change but it does give the house an updated feeling.
Second, I had new flooring put in all three full bathrooms and new carpet in the master bedroom. Ahhh, carpet lines.
Then I decided to do a makeover in the master bath and the kids bathroom upstairs. In the upstairs bathroom I stained the existing vanity and had a new granite top made for it. In my bathroom, I took the old vanity out and put a new one in also with a granite top. They turned out really well I think!
With Heather and Thomas' help while they were here we put a new range hood in the kitchen, and Lance put a new light fixture in the basement bathroom.
I hope David will like it when he gets back.

From Tiger to Wolf

Nathan had his last pack meeting of the school year tonight. All of the Tigers in his den worked hard and completed all of the requirements to advance to the rank of Wolf. I an so proud of Nathan for doing this. He really has been enjoying scouting and he has made some great friends. Congratulations Nathan! Let's hear that Wolf howl!
