Nathan's chore money!

We counted Nathan's chore money yesterday and he had $28.50, and he needed $30 to buy his Lego Monster Fighter Castle. That meant he needed to do six more chores. I don't think there has ever been a little boy so excited to his chores. We had already bought the castle and had been storing it in the basement. When David brought it up and gave it to him, he was so excited!

As a side note, while building the castle Nathan said to me, "It's ok mom. Some girls don't know much." Thanks Nathan!

Nathan is now saving his chore money for some more Lego's, he is not sure yet, but maybe the LEGO rocket launch (like the one we saw when we went to the space center in Florida).

Nathan's last day of Preschool!

Nathan's first words this morning when he woke up were, "it's the last day of school then summer vacation"! He was very excited to go to school today, mostly because they were playing in the water. The parents were invited to come for the last half of the day, so here are some pictures of Nathan on his last day of preschool. Next year he will be going to Pre-K five days a week from 07:45-2:15. It will be quite different for all of us. For now, we are looking forward to Summer vacation!

Flying kites

Nathan and Anderson got tiny kites for Easter, we tried flying them, but it wasn't very windy. The boys both had fun anyway.

Just like his momma

Anderson has figured out how to break into our child safety lock cabinets, and has found that they make a great places to hide. David and I have decided that Nathan is more like David was when he was little and AJ is more like Audrey was when she was little. We think that might switch as they get older, but for that we will have to wait and see. Here are a few pictures of Anderson getting into the cabinet, and some old pictures of Audrey finding places to hide when she was little.

Nathan's baseball pictures

We got Nathan's baseball pictures back today. It is probably one of the cutest single pictures of Nate, and one of the funniest group photos I have seen. Nathan is making his best pirate face, while his friend Drew is behind him with his face painted as Batman.
Nathan is quite frustrating this season. He only wants to play in the dirt and run in the outfield. He does pretty good with the hitting, and in one of his games he got a hit and a RBI. He did tell us today that playing baseball is kind of hard. Next year, we might try soccer again instead.

Ouch!

Today, Anderson tried to pull a 25# dumbbell off the coffee table, and it fell onto his foot. The little man cried for a while but then got up and ran off to play. After his nap, it was a bit more swollen and he was limping on it a little. We decided to err on the side of caution and take him to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (same one Nathan went to when he got his stitches) for an x-ray. Luckily, his foot was not broken! It is bruised and swollen though. The doctor gave him a little boot to wear, but AJ won't wear it.
Here are the pictures of his x-ray, and some after the doctor pictures of him resting (for the few minutes he he actually sat still).
