Helping Grandpa & bubbles with Grandma

Nathan has been very busy since we got to Idaho. Lots of "projects to do". We helped grandpa build a compost pile, and by helped I mean Nathan spread the grass clippings as much as he could so there was more to mess to clean up.

Nathan got to help break the cinder blocks. Grandpa was very trusting holding the chisel while Nate hammered.

 Project completer high five!

Nathan with some of his new neighborhood friends, Louisa & Emma Talonga. He has had tons of fun playing with all the neighborhood kids. He has got to play with somebody almost everyday.
 Bubbles!
AJ loves Nathan. While Nathan was blowing bubbles Anderson was just belly laughing, he loved it. But when grandma or mommy did it, he just smiled.
You can kind of see his two teeth in this picture. What a happy baby he is!
And what a happy boy this one is!
Also this week we got to go to big grandpa and grandmas house and play with the cups. We forgot to take pictures of that though. We will next time we go up. And stay tuned for the next post of Yellowstone and Bear World (too many pictures for this post).

Mothers Day

Happy Mother's Day! I had a great Mother's day with my boys. We got to grandpa and grandmas house on Saturday. We got to see big grandpa and big grandma, Aunt Shana, Angie & LeVan, Heather and Braedon.
Two very sweet boys.

With my mom on Mother's Day.

On Sunday, Nathan got to sing with the primary boys and girls for the first time. It was really cute. He walked right up there and stood right up front!
He didn't sing the song, but part way through it he looked at me and waved then mouthed "I love you mommy" and made my whole day!
We sure do miss Daddy and wish he could be here with us.

Swimming!

On Friday after we worked on the deck for a little bit, we decided to go to the pool to cool off. It had been a hot and sunny day, but as soon as we got to the pool a dark rain cloud rolled in and the temperature dropped about ten degrees. It sprinkled a little bit and then moved on and it was hot and sunny again.

Anderson's first dip in the pool, he didn't really mind it, until his belly got wet, but he was ok with it after a minute or so.

Silly Nathan

In true Nathan fashion, he didn't like swimming. I guess he forgot that he could swim last year, I took him out a little and let him go. He freaked out, but swam back to the side, then David did the same thing to him a little later, and he decided it wasn't so bad. I am sure it will take a few times before he gets used to it again.

We had a fun family day at the pool, and are looking forward to lots more this Summer!

Date Knight

Yesterday, Nathan and I got to go on a special date to Chick-Fil-A. It was a lot of fun. They had the tables covered with table cloths and flowers on top. We ordered our dinner and the "waiters" who were dressed up as knights and princesses, brought our dinner to our table. Nathan thought it was pretty neat that a "shiny knight" gave him his dinner. Nathan got a shield to color and a balloon sword, and then we got to have our picture taken.

Being a shiny knight on the playground
It was fun to go on a date with my shiny knight. He is so brave and strong!

Meanwhile, while we were out on our date, Anderson was at grandpa and grandma Rygmyr's house having fun, and working on his walking skills. Right now he is getting closer and closer, braver and braver everyday.

Also, this morning Anderson cut his first tooth, and I think his second one is not far behind. And Nathan got to give the scripture in Primary, he did a great job. I am so proud of him.

the video

Sorry, we don't know how to turn it

This little boy...

...thinks he is big enough to climb the stairs. Today Anderson decided to follow Nathan up the stairs. He did a good job, and was super proud of himself. He only got about six stairs up, but that was six to many according to me.
I took a video of it, but can't get it to load, so I'll have David try to fix it when he gets home from work so you can watch just how good he is.
