The moon is broken

Last night Nathan and I were driving home, and the moon was out. The whole way home Nathan was fascinated by the moon. When we got out of the car we looked up at the moon (it is a half moon right now), and the one star that was out. Nathan said "oh no, moon broken. Fix it". I told him that Heavenly Father has to fix the moon and he said "yeah, fix it". I asked him if we should ask Heavenly Father to fix it in our prayers and he said, "yeah".
It was really cute how concerned he was about the moon.

College football Saturday

,

It's that wonderful time of the year again. College football season. Although the football season started on Thursday (with Ohio State winning), Nathan and David's team-Georgia Tech played today. Good thing Nathan had on his lucky jersey, it helped Tech beat South Carolina 41-10! Go Tech! We are also looking forward to Monday, when Boise State has their first game of the season, good luck Broncos! (If only Nathan had a lucky Boise State jersey to wear for that game.)

I scream. You scream. Nathan loves his ice cream!

Nathan had his first ice cream cone of his very own today. We were over by Bruster's so I decided to stop and get Nathan a cone. For anyone who lives by a Bruster's, stop by and get one, the "baby" cones are free!

Driving in my car...

The other day, I was bringing stuff in from the car, I had unbuckled Nathan and told him to get out of his seat and go inside the house. I came out to get more stuff and this is what I found.
Checking the gas.Cranking up the jams.
Check your mirrorsPut the car in gear, and off you go!

Ready for church

No more pictures, please

Good job Daddy!

(This picture was not taken at the party, but I apparently didn't take any of David at his party, oops)
We had a graduation party for David two weeks ago. It was a great time filled with lots of family and friends. We are super proud of David. He has worked really hard to finish school. We are glad this degree is over and look forward to a little break before he starts his Master's.

A great day!

Warning! This is a long post filled with lots of animals you have already seen. These picture's are more for Nathan, than anyone else, but if you want to check out some cool animals- keep scrolling.
What you can't tell in this picture, it that this hibiscus is the size of a dinner plate! It was GIANT.

This is a mystic illusion dahlia. The leaves for this flower are black. It was really pretty, one of my new favorite flowers.

The female elephants were really cool, because they were able to get so close to you. We were only about 5 feet from this one. It was neat to be so close to her.

The male elephants were behind steel ropes, obviously they are not as nice as the females.
The lady asked Nathan if he wanted to touch the "bearded lizard from Australia". Nathan barely touched it and then pulled away so quickly. I don't think he knew what to expect.

The giraffe's.

There was a model train exhibit at the zoo, and as I told you in the last post, Nathan LOVES trains. This is Nathan going "chugga chugga choo choo".
The children's petting zoo. Nathan liked being close and looking at the animals, but he learned for the lizard experience, that he doesn't want to touch them. But he sure is cute about it.

They have a really cool bird area. You can go inside and feed the birds. They will come up and sit on your hand and eat right out of it.

The black bear.

Nathan trying to feed the black bear his popcorn.

I think the polar bears was the best part! They were up and roaming around. The swimming bear was awesome. He just kept going back and forth past the window.

The zebra.
The cheetah.

The white tiger. If you look close, you can see it hiding behind the little bush right in the middle. Nathan was more impressed with an ant walking along the fence.

Cheese!
Turtle
Manatee

Nathan really likes snakes right now. He thought these snakes were so cool to look at.

The mighty (lazy) lion.
The sea eagle.

Nathan liked the rhino's. They had 4 different kinds of them. They were all the lazy kind if you ask me.

The gorilla!

The Cincinnati zoo was awesome! It is a very big zoo, with so many animals to see. Nathan can say lots of animals names and sounds, and it was fun to see him get so excited when he would see one of the animals he knows.
To end the great day, we went to a drive -in movie back in Lexington. It was a lot of fun. A GREAT DAY!
