Our Hawaiian Summer

Buckle up! Lots of pictures coming at you! What an amazing six weeks! We did and saw so much! Our favorite beach was Bellows. Our favorite shave ice, well, top 3: Shimazu, Island Shave Ice and Creamery & Baldwin's Sweet Shop. Our favorite adventure was kayaking out to China mans Hat and hiking to the top. Other favorites: Dole Whip, Turtle beaches, Hale Koa luau, PCC and the history. We also took a weekend trip to the Big Island where we saw volcano's, gecko's and black sand beaches. We hiked and boogie boarded, bowled and snorkeled. It was so amazing, we are so glad that we were able to join David and have such an awesome Summer! (Sorry, some of the pictures from the Big Island didn't load correctly, so they are at the top).

And we are off!

On Sunday, the kids and I drove over to Boise to stay the night at my friend Carley (Porter) Pickett's house for the night, before heading off to Hawaii on Monday! Thanks Carley and Myles!  We are so excited to see dad, and to have a Summer full of adventures!! When we landed in Hawaii, daddy picked us up at the airport and had lei's for Tessa and I. It was a looong flight, mostly because I made the decision to go screen/tablet free for the Summer, and United didn't have screens in the seatbacks for us to use. Hopefully the rest of our "screen free Summer" goes better!
