Lance & Barb's wedding

We are so glad we were able to make it to Minnesota to be here for grandpa Rygmyr's wedding. And, daddy made it too! David was able to fly in from his rotation in Hawaii for a quick weekend visit. It was so sweet to see Barb again and to get to know her and some of her family a little better. Barb makes Lance so happy and vis a versa. It was also really neat to be there in Winona where they both grew up. The whole thing was a real hoot (as grandpa Rygmyr would say).  Welcome to the family Barb!!

A road trip of epic proportions!

Aunt Llew flew down to join us on our epic Summer road trip. We hit the road on Thursday, headed North towards Minnesota. By now, the kids are expert road trippers, they each had a backpack full of toys, and we had our dvd collection to watch shows along our route. Our first stop was in Cleveland Ohio where we stayed for the night. The next morning, we woke up and went to b.a. Sweetie Candy Company!It was gigantic!! It was everything we thought it would be and more!  The selection was incredible, they had everything you could think of! We were all happy kids in a candy store! We each picked out a few things and then we were off again.
Our next stop was Chicago!  We had to get some Garretts popcorn! And while we were there, we went to Millenium Park to see the Bean. It was a great place to stop for a quick break.
From there, we stopped in Wisconsin for lunch and to try some Wisconsin cheese curds. Yum!
Then we finally made it to Minnesota where we would stay for the weekend!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

Today was the last day of school for the kids! (Well, technically this Friday is the last day of school, but we need to be in Minnesota, so we are having an early last day.)  I can't believe that we will not have a Kindergartener anymore!  Or that my oldest is going into 5th grade!  This year has been a good one. We had such great teachers for each of the kids this year. We love where we live and the good kids that are friends with our kids. We will miss all of them this Summer while we are gone.

Tessa is 6!!

Happy happy birthday Tessa! We celebrated Tessa's birthday on Saturday with her friends. They played in the ball pit, made jewelry and decorated cupcakes. There were some tears by one of the party guests, but for the most part, everyone had a great time, especially Tessa!
We missed daddy in our celebrations but we are looking forward to seeing him soon in Minnesota!
Happy birthday Tessa! You bring so much light and joy into our family! You are so creative, whether it is with arts and crafts or with putting together an outfit. We love the pink ball of spunk you are! We all love you SO much!

Field Day!

The kiddos had a blast at KP Field Day! It was so hot outside, everyone was sweating, and the ice cream melted quickly but there was a ton of fun had by all! I was able to see each of the kids playing some of the games and having fun with their friends.
