Olman

We recently received an updated picture of Olman, the little boy we sponsor in Costa Rica. He looks so different from the first picture we received of him. He had grown quite a bit. We receive letters from him occasionally and through them e feel that our sponsorship is really a blessing to him and his family.

Our new car

We found a new car! Rather, John, a friend of David's, found us a car at auction. It was a good deal and We are happy with it. Our old van was a 2006 Honda Touring. This one is a 2011 Honda EX-L.

The sweetest thing!

My sweet Nathan made me a gift at school today. It was raining so they were unable to go outside for recess. While the kids were playing in the classroom, Nathan went over to his teacher to ask for her help. He told her he wanted to make something special for his mom. Here gave her a folded piece of paper and asked her to cut a heart shape. Ms. Wood said Nathan worked on that heart every free moment he had for the rest of the day.
At pick up, I could see him through the window he was very eager to give me the gift. He ran out and gave me the sweetest gift I have ever received! I almost cried right there at the school.
Ms. Wood called me later that day to tell me just how sweet he was about It. I love being a mommy!

Butter, really?

I was helping Anderson cut his pancake and when I went back to help Tessa and found her eating butter right out of the container. She said, "mmmm yummuy". Where would she get this idea? I called grandpa Anderson to ask if he had taught her this while they were here. He said no, but he was proud of her.

Awards ceremony

Kennesaw Elementary had their second quarter awards ceremony. Nathan's teacher told me that he would be getting one again. Again, he received an award for perfect attendance. What I didn't expect was for Nathan to get the good citizenship award! He was voted by his classmates, so it was quite the honor. We are quite proud of him for this. Along with the award, He received a gift certificate for a free Zoyo frozen yogurt.

Nate's sandwich

Nathan decided he could make his own lunch today. He made his very own sandwich and he did a great job. He sure is growing up quickly. Also, he is probably the cutest sandwich artist ever.
