One of my favorite things over the last 3 years has been walking the kids to and from school. This last year we have only been able to walk home since Nathan and AJ are in different schools, but it is time that I love having with them before they get home and are distracted by dozens of other things. Occasionally David is home in time to walk with us and the family walks home together, I love it! We have so much fun on those walks, even when they make me go through opossum alley (yuck!).
Here are a few pictures of things that will remind me of Georgia. Beautiful Dogwood trees, Magnolia trees and the goose across from North Cobb H.S. that changes outfits every season/holiday!
I had the pleasure of taking wedding pictures for an adorable couple in our ward. The wedding didn't go as they had planned and they had to make some minor adjustments. One of those adjustments was having the reception on Saturday and the temple opening on a Monday for the sealing. It was so special to be there with them. I was able to go with two of my sweet friends, Kyli and Debbie!
I will miss them so much when we move!
We had the opportunity to launch rockets again with our friends, the Wall family. This year we built a new rocket (along with the Banana Split) to launch. It was a little chilly and there was a slight breeze during the launch. The first time we launched the new rocket, we lost it and had to send a search and rescue party for it. Luckily, their efforts paid off and we were able to retrieve it. The Wall's had several rockets to launch also; one was a two stage rocket that was pretty cool, it went super high! We launched our new rocket the second time and again had to send a search party for it. Unfortunately this time, they were unable to recover the rocket. It landed in a swamp! (It was a lot like the movie October Sky looking for it.) Even though we lost a rocket and it was cold, we still had a lot of fun!
Aunt Llew sent Tessa some more make-up, so Tess made herself, "so fancy". She did such a great job!
Eli Bellard drew a picture for AJ at school and their teachers gave it to me this morning. Eli drew a best friends picture that says, "I will miss you". The other day the two boys were talking in the car about always being "best friends forever" even when they both move this Summer.
Nathan has been very busy working on his Wolf rank in scouts. He has been having a lot of fun with both packs he is in (675 Cheatham Hill & 719 LDS).
