United Military care held a special family day and we were invited to go. The Chick-Fil-A Young Ambassadors were in charge of the event. They had popcorn, snow cones, face painting, games and bubbles and a magician. Chick-Fil-A catered the dinner and the Young Ambassadors had a special surprise for all of the kids there: they were going to pay for all of them to go to a week of Summer camp! How cool! We had a wonderful time.

KES Art Show
We walked up to Nathan's school for the annual art show. Nathan drew a dog, a pirate dog. He did a fantastic job on it.

Spring break
Spring break started off with Audrey going to opening day with my friend Elise. It was the last opening day at Turner Field, next year they will be in their new home Suntrust Park in Cobb County!
Next, the kids and I went for a hike to Amicolola Falls. The drive took longer than expected but it was very pretty. When we finally got there, we parked by the visitor center. The ranger told me it was about a half mile from there to the base of the waterfall and then a half mile climb. No problem! We headed out and I immediately realized what a bad it is to hike outnumbered 3-1. About 30 minutes in we finally made it past the last parking lot. The next milestone was the reflecting pool that marked the half mile mark. We continued past that and started the climb. We didn't climb very far. An hour into the hike the kids were ready to stop for a snack, and that is where we turned around! And it took us another hour to get back to the visitor's center. We never made it to the waterfall, it was quite disappointing and a bit frustrating.
Nathan needed to visit a planetarium for a scout requirement so we headed to the Tellus Museum. It was a lot of fun! There was so much to do. The kids really loved panning for gems and digging for fossils.

Braves are back
I went with my friend Elise to the Last Opening Day at Turner Field! It was a great day for baseball! Unfortunately, traffic was terrible and so was security at the game that we missed the opening day pregame ceremony. They had the '97 Braves parade around the field before the game started and a USAF fly over. The Braves lost but that was expected so we weren't disappointed. It was a fun day at the ballpark though!
