Clemson played Oklahoma in the CFB playoffs on NYE. We had a a fun time watching football and eating snacks. The kids loved staying up late even though they were in bed by 9. Go Tigers!

My Mimmie
Tessa loves the giant Minnie that Boppa (grandpa Rygmyr) have her for Christmas. Mimmie sleeps with Tessa every night and she loves it! The Minnie with the red bow was a gift to Tessa from her friend Madison (Bellard). She loves it but not as much because It is red, not pink.

How many men does it take to change a lightbulb?
A family from church moved and have it's their old fan. We decided to update the fan in the living room. David and grandpa Anderson worked on it for quite a while before grandpa Rygmyr came to help. They kept running into problems but they were finally able to get it installed and working properly...It only took 6 hours. However, it was worth it! The new fan looks fantastic!

Saying goodbye
We had to go down to the tow yard the van was towed to to clean it out before they towed it to a salvage yard. We were able to get a real good look at all of the damage. We even lined up the dent where the van hit aunt Llew and AJ. It looked pretty bad in the daylight. It was sad to say goodbye to our family vehicle. It has been sick a good car to us over the last 4 years.

Christmas Eve blessings
On Christmas Eve we were all headed down to Bonnie's house to spend Christmas there. We were in a three car caravan, the van was the lead car with Heather and Thomas stopping at the airport to pick Braedon and Jade up and David and Lance behind them.
Anderson had to go to the bathroom so we pulled over under and overpass for him to go. Aunt Llewgot him out of the car and stood with him while he did his thing. Just after he had pulled up his cute little pants our van was hit by a Chevy Silverado that blew a tire in the fast lane and spun right into the back end of our car and then spun around and hit the front end of the car. At some point, the van hit into Llew and AJ and knocked them into the mud. It took me a moment to realize what had happened when I realized that the airbag was in my window. I jumped out of the car and ran around to find AJ and Llew getting up out of the mud virtually unscathed. There was a dent in the sliding door where the car hit them. Anderson was very upset that he was wet, as soon as I got his clothes changed he was fin. He had a small scratch on his elbow and two tiny cuts on his hand. Llew had a very bruised tailbone and hurt her knee that she fell on. I got a seat belt burn on my neck, other than that there were no injuries (not even with the other driver). Three of the windows in the van shattered, two back by Nathan and one by Tessa- no cuts on anybody. We were so lucky that the car behind the truck saw the whole accident and pulled over to help. The couple was very sweet, they stayed with us until Heather and Thomas arrived. The wife was so sweet. They got a blanket out of their car and she sat down on the ground with the kids and played with them and kept them entertained. They were such angels to us. I know that they weren't the only angels there with us. I know Andrew was there and he protected us from serious injury. Immediately after I got all of the kids out of the car, I knew that he was there with us. I am so thankful that we have our sweet angel to watch over us and keep us safe. I am so thankful that we were all able to walk away from the accident. We are so blessed. I will never be able to show my thanks and gratitude to my Heavenly Father for watching over us. I am forever indebted to Him and amazed at His tender mercies.
