Date Knight

Yesterday, Nathan and I got to go on a special date to Chick-Fil-A. It was a lot of fun. They had the tables covered with table cloths and flowers on top. We ordered our dinner and the "waiters" who were dressed up as knights and princesses, brought our dinner to our table. Nathan thought it was pretty neat that a "shiny knight" gave him his dinner. Nathan got a shield to color and a balloon sword, and then we got to have our picture taken.

Being a shiny knight on the playground
It was fun to go on a date with my shiny knight. He is so brave and strong!

Meanwhile, while we were out on our date, Anderson was at grandpa and grandma Rygmyr's house having fun, and working on his walking skills. Right now he is getting closer and closer, braver and braver everyday.

Also, this morning Anderson cut his first tooth, and I think his second one is not far behind. And Nathan got to give the scripture in Primary, he did a great job. I am so proud of him.

the video

Sorry, we don't know how to turn it

This little boy...

...thinks he is big enough to climb the stairs. Today Anderson decided to follow Nathan up the stairs. He did a good job, and was super proud of himself. He only got about six stairs up, but that was six to many according to me.
I took a video of it, but can't get it to load, so I'll have David try to fix it when he gets home from work so you can watch just how good he is.

Hoppy Easter

We had such a great Easter. Our Easter festivities kicked off last Friday night when we went to the Acworth Easter Egg Hunt with our friends Katie, Kendalynn & Logan Buttle. The hunt started at 8 p.m. and was kicked off by the Easter Bunny parachuting in and landing on the field, (I think that was Nathan's favorite part about Easter this year). They had the hunt divided into age groups and times. The 0-3 started at 8 then the 3-5 were supposed to start at 8:15. The 0-3 age group had all the eggs picked up within two minutes.
The next day was he City of Kennesaw's Easter Egg Hunt. It was much better organized, but no parachuting bunny. They did however have plenty of candy. Nathan came away with a full basket and there was still lots of candy left on the field.
Yesterday, we had our ward hunt where Nathan had fun finding eggs with his friend Thatcher. And then today after church we went to grandpa & grandma Rygmyrs house where they had eggs hid for Nathan. Nate would play a little, then find some eggs, then play a little more and find eggs again until he found them all. We ate a delicious dinner, played some, dyed eggs and played some more. It was a lot of fun. Both boys were worn out at the end of the day. But if you ask Nathan why we celebrate Easter he would tell you, "it's for Jesus", so despite all the commercialism something is actually sinking in.

Welcome home David, now get to work!

David got back from his two month trip to Florida on Monday (he is now officially a Medic). After sitting around Monday he decided that he wanted to do a project, so we agreed on re-doing the back deck. On Tuesday we went and got all of our supplies (wood and nails) and got to work. David did most of the pulling off the old boards by himself.
We hit a little snag when trying to take down the lattice work (as seen behind David in the above picture). While David was trying to take it down despite the ridiculous amount of nails they used on it, he sustained a minor injury (he hit himself in the head with the mallet). He probably could have used two stitches in it, but since he just got back from Medic school, he took care of the wound himself, and then took his saw to the lattice.

Helping dad

I know what your thinking, Nathan is in his underwear again. Well, it is proving hard to keep him dressed. He takes his clothes off all the time.

We were able to finish the deck in just four days, since all of the family helped out. Next, we are going to start on a bottom deck off the basement. Great job David, and sorry about your head.
